My
cravings for Hong Kong food has not satisfied yet! There's always tons of
mouth-watering food on Hong Kong TV channel and the gourmet has the
power of influence indeed. I always bring along a small note when I'm
going abroad, it could be useful when you're lost or can't think of
anything to eat but the unlucky me always missed out the good ones!
I
was pissed about the incident happened in Hong Kong two years ago, that
I followed the wrong person in digging good food!
''T.H.E.V.E.G.E.T.A.R.I.A.N'' However, give and take is always a common
sense to everyone. When you know you're different from others, you
should give in more than anyone else does, especially you're in oversea.
Pardon me for saying so, but you're the most difficult person I've ever
met in my life.
Despite you're ma mum's friend, I'll not tolerate and that's my word. It's not her first time anyway..
Back
to topic, I had a short trip few months back with ma mom and friends to
visit Hong Kong and China. Frankly, I am not a big fan of China, it
gave me a bad image as I read in the newspaper. I don't know about the
big city but the hinterland is definitely a 'goose bump' place. I shall
stop this before they kill my page.
Had arrived in Shen Zhen safely (a major city in the south of Southern China, Guangdong), a comfy bed is just needed for us. It was my first time visited China but sadly, bad things happened to me. Beware of those taxi drivers who actually come to you instead of you going to them. They will not go by meter but a shocking net price,
be smart. We had no choice so just followed him, after 5 mins journey, he told us that we need a transit car to go in the city which doesn't make any sense. He stopped at somewhere and called another cab to take us over, the scene was just exactly like you saw in the movie. (and so...the argument) He finally brought us back to the airport and there goes another
fcking cab asked for
RMB 300!! Vampires everywhere.. Luckily the price is negotiable,
RMB 200 deal.
Took a cab to LuoHu commercial city, its the first major shopping center where you can find most of the kicked-off copies of goodies. All you need to do is bargain hard, learn from the aunties around you.
BARGAIN!!!
ps: beware of pickpockets, they're everywhere!!
It's time for food haunting!
Look what I found! Giant pumpkin right in front of me.
Appetizer was served for every table.
Ohhhh my all time favourite Dim Sum! Steamed chicken feet with black bean sauce.
Zeeeee best sweet&sour pork rib I've ever tasted! Well done chef 111!! Crispy on the first bite with a lil bit of air between meat and skin, tastes along with their special home-made sauce..mmm~
Next morning..
Was heading to a shopping mall for breakfast, walking in a cold weather is relaxing..
A magnificence restaurant double-up the feeling of the environment, it's definitely a good place for dim sum and wedding dinner.

Hot porridge is needed for my cold stomach.
Met this lil doggy while on the way back to hotel. Outfit of the day: Blue singlet top &bone shaped necklace
Back to hotel and busy packing..
A satisfied breakfast ended up the day in ShenZhen. We're heading to GuangZhou after check-out. It was a good experience after all, and bargain was fun!
If you realized the people behind me, most of them wore a sweater but I only had a sleeveless shirt and a scarf. TEHEE! The weather was similar to Genting Highland and I really do love cold weather.....
BeiJing street.
Discovered some street foods along the road, I miss the street food I had in
Taiwan few years back.
It's weird to see Islam people here isn't it?
When you're living in a cold country, don't blame for getting fat cause you're hungry all the time!
Okay, sushi time!
Say you love sashimi!!
Guess how much is the portion? Supaaaaaaaaa cheap

Arrived in Cafe de coral, a chinese fast food restaurant was introduced by my sis's boyfie.
Ordering food..
My Italian sauce with fillet fish and rice.

Taste as good as dutch lady.
Took a cab with my sis and her bofie to
Tai Koo shopping mall, It's definitely the world of luxury fashion, reminds me of The Garden & Pavilion in Malaysia. Met up with Samantha for lunch (she has further study in GuangZhou) We first met in UK back to year 2010 December, both of us have endless topics to share and eventually we become good friend. Looking forward to see her on my next trip to Korea.
German bread was served for the started. Haha! It served with three different pastes, I can only recognized the middle one which is butter. Lol
Creamy vege soup served in a vintage bowl.
Mmmm~ Very smooth tomato soup *sluuuurp

perfectly matched! I heard that it's origin from Singapore, awww..why no outlet in Malaysia??? I am not a chocolate lover but I totally in love with this.. they might have some secret ingredients that make people get addicted to it. :D
Dark Chocolate Truffles
RMB 67/100gram
The next day..
Heading to Hong Kong from Guangzhou. *excited
excited*
Bad hair day.
Here we are.. Wong Kok
I was hoping that maybe can meet some artists before I leave Hong Kong but sadly NO!
The food is expensive in Hong Kong.
I must say their Cha Xiu and Xiu Yok (pork belly) are always the best. Yummm~~~
I couldn't get a nice pic during night time. Just to show how 'Wong Kok' looks like at night.
Snack after dinner, that's where the fat came from..TEHEE! I seriously don't like Hong Kong-made curry fish ball, it tasted nothing besides oily. Sis finished 'em all. :))))
As I always hear from my friends who have been to Hong Kong, listened to how they described the Hong Kong dessert that made me mouth watering all the time, they even used my word 'heaven' to described it. Okay, I'd prefer to try it myself than listen to other people comments. And so I came to this shop called '许留山', a very famous dessert shop where you can mostly find it everywhere in Hong Kong. It turned out disappointed me..
It says a mango dessert but it tastes sweetless. It did not amazed me on the first bite yet a sour face turned out on me. Rice ball has always been my favorite, I like it when they matched with any kind of desserts. But sadly, it failed this time. The rich ball was hard and lack of chewiness :(( mango doesn't taste sweet at all. Maybe I expected too much but I'll not give up and will keep looking for the real delicious dessert if I have a chance to visit Hong Kong again.
The next morning..
Headed to Tsim Sha Tsui with mom, sis and her bofie. Sorry I could't tell which train to take cause it's too complicated.
The last Dim Sum we had before heading to airport.
Time to fly back..
Good-bye!
